Whiteout Blizzard
It came without warning,
It came undetected and unspoken,
It frozen my world, and stopped my world cold- dead in its tracks,
My world had been whipped out, lost in this blizzard,
I have no choose but to walk, blind sighted and lost,
I have a destination, I have a reason to move forward, but in this white out I have lost,
Lost more than my way, but lost my direction, gone off course,
Unsure what tomorrow will bring, each day now seems to change without any warning,
Each day brings a new band, slamming me hard, stopping me cold,
All I now is that you can only see my eyes,
Whether they be cold hearted green or calm minded blue,
I hope soon this ends, my bones are frozen, and my pace is slowing down,
The sun just warm enough to warm my heart, to keep it’s beat alive,
The cold can kill, turning life into stone, only to weather it away soon after,
My mind is clogged by the ice that freezes me,
Fogging my mind, fading out my decisions,
This blizzard has spun me for a loop, making me only turn in circles,
For now am I heading straight, I think,
Lost without a compass,
Lost in this whiteout,
My family on the outside, and my friends stand ready,
Ready to holler out against these roaring winds that have blinded my judgment,
Willing to get me out, so that I may see the shining sun,
Showing me a ray of light,
Dreams and goals not thrown around or weighed down by the rage of white,
Helping me to see clearly, so that I may rise above the raging storm,
Life is more than the black and the white, or the endless shades of gray,
A thousand other colors make up life,
Make up your life, dreams and goals,
Our future is ahead of us, but two things will always be curtain,
The light to shine against the darkness, and the infinite colors of life and dreams,
Darkness is only present so that the light may shine even brighter,
The shades of black and white only brighten those colors of life and dreams,
A whiteout blizzard only sharpens the mind, and makes you that much stronger,
Each day a test for now, but my future is warm and a greener view,
Whiteout blizzard, no,
Green grass and blue sky, I’m all for that with the sunny shining.
