Waiting Out
When something fun comes around, you get all excited,
Your friends are all going to be there, so that the party can begin when you arrive,
Yet one thing seems to ruin everything,
Someone hears your names and doesn’t like you,
Stirs up the past and know that it will hurt you,
You just wanted to forget about it, and leave it behind,
Yet it never seems to stay there, and you left to hind, hoping it would go away,
Your waiting out the storm, voices scream your with rage and terror,
Hating you for your existence,
But someone, no matter who is there to stand by your side,
Ready to take a bullet if he had to, or simply hold you because your scared,
I’ve come this far on my journey and have never seen someone like you,
You aren’t toughest thing in the world or the weakest,
You treasure those who care,
And you are as sensitive as a scale, one once makes a difference,
A tip for the worst, or a tip to happiness,
Everything is accounted for in your book,
Yet not everything is as it seems,
I have braved the storms of the past, and ready for the ones ahead,
You have seen the storms and know there power, and felt a few,
Yet this storm is different, a new power, a new hatred,
Both at the heart of its ravaging furry,
You have given up hope, yet I haven’t, not yet at least,
I just hope that this storm ends,
I’d hate to pull this pin, I’d hate to give up too early,
I’m waiting out, and so too are you.
