Venom
Life only comes once,
But life is like harboring snakes,
You never know when a bit will come to hurt you,
Or worse could kill you slowly limiting you to nothing,
The colors change as the venom kills each cell until all are dead,
From the bright colors of family and friends with love and care,
To the dark colors of red and black,
Colors of death and fear,
Thoughts of love and memories stream through your mind,
Only to be covered over by the black red of blood,
Blood killed by the venom that at one point brought life,
But different thoughts of life and love will kill in different ways,
And a different venom to kill,
So to enjoy your life,
Fear must be forgotten and curiosity a healthy limit,
Because different lives show different times,
Times that you have left to live,
And remember snake are not deadly,
They are only curiosity trying to rear it’s ugly head.
