Unsure And Unwanted
I see you, but you don’t seem to see me,
And with that I become disheartened to everything in life,
But I keep trying to get you to notice me,
Poetry doesn’t seem to open your eyes,
And art work doesn’t seem to color your clothes,
And an accident doesn’t seem to catch your eye,
It isn’t until I disappear that something seems out of place,
My thoughts and ideas have seemed to control everything you see and hear,
You miss the rhythms and sights I had once brought to your world,
You envelope yourself with the things I have left behind,
You miss me, you carry my words that you had once ignored,
You bought the house I used to own,
And once inside you feel as though you had always belonged there,
My voice echoes the halls I used to walk,
My silent ghost cries because I left you behind,
I was unsure at the time and I felt unwanted,
I just hope that letter reaches you before its to late,
A letter that could save me and allow my eyes meet your’s.
