Quiet
When I’m alone no one sees who I truly am,
I seem quiet, I seem collected and strong,
I see the world and I see you, but you see me, you see behind my come blue eyes,
You see the tears that I have cried, you see the battles that I have lost,
You lend me a hand, you brought a sense of a personal connection,
A connection that I have never felt before, more powerful than you seem,
I am quiet on the outside, but I’m alive when I’m not fighting battles,
My colors shine at their brightest when your around, you make them come alive, to live,
So glad that I meet you, so glad that you’ve stayed around,
There to enjoy the good times when they are colorful and alive,
And there when everything turns upside down and backwards,
There when everyone else leaves,
You help me to brake the silence, to brake away the shackles that hold me down,
Keeping me down when I could rise to the heavens,
Knowing I would never forget you, lending you a hand when you need it the most,
Getting you out when times get the best of you,
Saving you from another drop of blood lost, another hit to the arm,
Another hole to the wall, saving another hour from crying,
I’d take you away from the pain, wipe those tears from your eyes,
And clean the blood off your face,
You saved me from the silence that was killing me, now its my turn to save you,
From the pain that you don’t need know, to save you, to save your lively spirit,
A sprit that saved mine, in the silence and quietness of the night a take you away.
