Missing You
You always greeted me, saying good morning,
And you would strike up a conversation, ending up with hot chocolate on your work,
I’ll miss your laugh, and your smile,
When times were tough you’d try to lighten up the day as best you could,
And I’d do the same for you,
Making jokes with others, just to have some fun,
And always stealing something from my bag, and smiling as you,
Knowing that I just couldn’t say no,
Now my bag stands still, as your hands no longer touch it,
A good laugh when I need one, is always left in silence in stead,
Your hot chocolate ending up on now on your math,
The mornings are now silent, only a click of a camera as a picture is taken,
I miss having your there in the morning,
Your laugh made me smile no matter what,
And your smile could never let me say no,
I’ll miss you in the morning, and I will be missing you then and always,
Missing you.
