Midnight Crying Eyes
When the bells of midnight chime the signs of twelve,
The stars in my eyes fall like the pouring rain,
The great winds howl to tell me what I may not have,
I cry every midnight, when the bells chime for you,
I know I could make you happy,
Make you happy until the time of midnight’s last midnight chime,
But I keep quiet like the slow moving hour hand of time,
So not to never stop your minutes for me,
Because I only have a small voice, and you are higher than time can match,
I become upset when you are hurt,
Words can’t describe my feelings for you, I can only hope that you can understand,
But even when you are asleep you are smart enough, I’m sure,
A girl that shines as bright as the north star, at the height of midnight,
You speak better than anyone else,
And your voice echoes across the forests of a wintry New England,
And New York City could never beat as fast as your heart,
But poison bleeds to kill my heart and blind my eyes,
And with this it while destroy thy love and passion for you,
No girl to the height of midnight understands me like you do,
I’d stop a train to save you, and cry an ocean to see if you where ok,
And I would do almost anything to see your radiant smile,
But without you, the stroke of midnight isn’t worth the time of a second beat,
A beat of your heart is valued more, and a tear of joy will befall my face,
Because life isn’t worth anything, unless shared with another,
Even God would be speechless if you’d give me a second at midnight,
A second to show you the stars and catch a falling star,
A star of platinum, a star made from a single tear,
A tear of midnight and a tear of utter devotion to you,
A star of love, a star of joy,
But until then I will always cry at midnight for your love and happiness,
Happiness and not tears at the great stroke of midnight.
