Left Alone
I had my love, but then I lost it,
Days seem to turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months,
My heart indeed in trouble, in my time of my greatest need,
In my darkest hour she never came, she left me alone,
Alone too long, left me cold and unwanted,
My tears are the rain, my pain is the warmth,
I miss that feeling of holding you, I miss your warm hands and your gentle kiss,
You gave me something to care about, you gave my life a cause,
Without your love, without your joy and happiness, my life means nothing,
My words are just the wonders of my mouth and mind,
My drawing the carelessness of my hands that have lost there touch,
My eyes turn their milky blue when my light is lost,
When you leave, I miss you, I miss your love,
My darkest hour shall be my last,
Flying blind it seems, without a light I’ll surely crash,
I’ve been left alone for too long,
My mind has gotten me into trouble,
But my hands and feet don’t work together,
I have no reason to win, I have no reason to loss,
My mind tripping on itself, wondering in circles, my mind and feet,
I have no reason to stay, yet no reason to move,
A proverbial brick wall I’ve hit,
My pain pours ok, my tears fall,
But no one to pick me up, no one to cover the wounds, no one to wipe away the tears,
Left alone, I’ve been thrown aside, forgotten by the wings of love,
Left alone to die a lonesome man, given a single chance then forgotten.
