I Try
I try my hardest to more forward, because I can’t move backwards,
I try even harder to find you, even when I’ve been kicked down,
Kicked down a thousand times,
Forgotten a million times and left on the curb,
But each time used and abused for my devotion and passion,
Each time falling hook, line and sinker,
Each time lying to myself, saying it will be better than the last,
I try, but it always ends up the same way,
I try my hardest to ignore the pain and sadness,
I try so hard, but it creeps up like your taxes,
You can’t avoid it and you can’t kill it,
I tried my hardest at love, with a million dollars and at ten cents,
But either way I know how it is going to end,
Their hearts are unaffected by mine,
I under go heart surgery each and every time,
I try again, and again,
My mind cannot change it’s ways, while my heart slowly dies,
I love someone, but I tried too late,
To late, and gone forever,
I try and I failed,
I try and I cry,
I try and they leave,
Every time I fall on my face, losing a little bit of passion each time,
I tried it with her and the one to her left, and the one to her right,
Only ending up on the same sheets, that same pillow,
I try, I try and I try again,
Every time losing and hurting,
It kills me to see each one go,
I try to find that right one, I try and I fail,
I try but some how I missed her, I try and I passed her,
I’ve tried, I’ll try and I will try again and again,
I try… only to fall for the last time, my eyes close on that table,
I tried.
