I Lost You
Long ago I locked you away,
Away so that I could find you, so no one could hurt you,
I knew the light of humanity would hurt you, and take you away,
I lost a friend to the pain that humanity can cause,
I lost, and watched others fall, and others rise, all living or dying because of humanity,
A few will survive, but a thousand must die to rise,
I never wanted you to die because of someone’s greed, someone’s desire,
I always knew you were safe, and you were happy,
My blue eyes represent the clear skies ahead,
And your green eyes showed that life will be good,
I never wished to loss you, but in my darkest hour something happened,
I lost you, not knowing how long I could last,
I don’t know where you are,
I don’t know if someone has hurt you,
I know without you I won’t last much longer,
My last hour approaches and I’m all alone,
Without a tear to cry,
The ice harbors my soul, cold and still without your warmth,
Without your green eyes to inspire me,
I lost you, and you lost me,
Both skies have darkened, the sickness of humanity now creeps in,
I wished to protect you from that but even that I failed at,
You deserve the best, but even the best fail sometimes,
I lost you, and I’m sorry isn’t enough for you,
I neglected to put you first that day, since then my mind as been focused on you,
I hope you return, please forgive me,
I lost you, and fire dies without the oxygen to breathe the life,
You took the green, now the water grow sick, and so too do I,
I lost and I lost you,
I just don’t want to loss again, and loss you forever.
