I Can’t Wait For That Day
The day my true love walks into my life,
That shall be the day I shall fly to heaven to grab my wings,
Wings so that I can fly her around the world, and see what is there to be seen,
Wake up in Hawaii, to see the sun rise over the Great Barer Reef,
Have lunch in Paris, and play games with a mime,
Then supper in Mexico City, and dance with my girl,
And to end the night, watch the sunset in Alaska, only to watch the dancing aura,
I can’t wait for that day,
My heart wouldn’t have to go through so many surgeries,
Instead it would be tied to a thousand helium balloons, higher than its ever been,
I’d take that blows for her, no matter how hard,
My tenacity never defeated, only always bouncing back and striking back with force,
A force only matched to my love for her,
If someone wishes to take her, by all means take her, but kill me first,
My mind never excepting defeat, only defeated when my pulse turns to zero,
I would always be true and honest to her, never to lie, no matter how hard the times,
But I still am waiting for her to show up,
Like a map without an x, I have searched every spot and dug up my yard,
I can’t wait for that day she shows up,
I’ve never been so low, and never felt more alone,
My friends and family are beside me,
But still I can’t wait for that day,
When she says together forever,
Tears of utter joy, like a never lasting monsoon,
My eyes would drowned the Amazon Rain Forest under by a mile,
Bring joy to my life, and something I’ve never felt before, but,
I just can’t wait for that day.
