I Can’t Hold On Much Longer
Love has played me like a well strummed guitar,
I has taken everything, the things that once gave me hope and happiness,
It has drained my soul, and wiped the color from my eyes, only gray shadows remain,
Work and passion have faded away, like the last beat of a base strummed guitar,
I can’t hold on much longer like this,
Great pain fills my heart, and poisons my once smart brain,
But time is running out for me, my gains of sands on there last moments,
So I cry remembering the ones I used to love,
Sharing a good laugh with them or sharing a cut of hot chocolate,
I cry to those moments of joy, happiness, and the rich fun we once shared,
But at a curtain point one can’t come back, a cut to deep to heal,
And my time has come I can’t hold one any more,
This breath of life shall always be the last breath I breath,
The night as calm as this could be a better night to pass.
