Hitting High
Shall the world end or turn against us,
No matter what I’ll return,
Burn a thousand, a million, a billion or even a trillion and half to be with you,
I’d crash a plane, fly at supersonic speeds,
Charter a boat to you, re-sink the Titanic, I’d do it all to come back to you,
Risk my life to hold you one more time, just once more,
To feel that warmth when we first meet, again just once more,
The mountains could fall around us, or explode with fire,
The oceans could rise a mile, maybe two, three, five even ten,
But as long as you are by my side, your hand held tight against mine,
Nothing means more, nothing else matters,
I’ll hit it high for you, I’d hit my pockets high and dry,
The world is you, and nothing will even happen unless I die with you,
Come hell, or high tide to Saturn,
We will be fine, we will be ok,
Together we made it this far, together we will die,
Hitting high and dry,
The world was against us from the beginning,
So let us be, let us die together,
Love binds us together, so let us be together when the world dies from the inside.
