Heated Rage
They left us,
They told us to fly by ourselves,
Now that I have spread my wings, they voice their options,
To the north I said that I would stay,
Called blind, my rage grew ever stronger,
I wanted to cut the weight that was upon my shoulders, I wanted it to just go away,
I grew up being told to be the best, to brake that glass ceiling,
But now that I have broken the glass, I am being told to clean up the mess,
I grew up picking up the slack of others,
I am being down graded because I decided to stand firm,
No one understands me, no one wants to hear me,
Yet when I fall, it was my fault, I failed, I had done it myself, the blame was all me,
Yet without me, water cuts you all like a new sharpened knife,
Yet I stand tall, having built my future in the stones I created,
Made to last, made strong like the will of my heart and mind,
Yet like Atlantes, my ideas and unnatural power is hunted for, treasured for it’s rarity,
The last chance for you all to change,
Because unlike you all I’ll put what I’ve learned to good use,
And like the lost city I will never return,
Never to fly your way again,
Never to shed a single tear for your own mistakes,
Never to share my knowledge again when you need it,
Because you where never there when I need you the most,
Now hear my words, and let the night settle in, with the cold winds that fallow with pain,
My rage spent, now your pain will creep in,
Now have fun as I will be long gone, never again to be seen by the likes of you.
