Heart Beat
What makes your heart beat as it does,
Love drives some for passion and desire,
Others are driven by madness and hatred,
My heart beats for another,
My heart stolen by her lovely charm,
My heart is driven to protect and care for others,
A trait that has burnt me badly,
But with every bad beat of a heart a good beat will follow,
Her eyes show some burnt scares of broken love,
And protection and care is what I live and beat for,
But I am unsure if her heart beats for mine,
So my heart beats with sadness if she turns me away,
But I beats with happiness if she turns my way,
Shear curiosity makes my heart beat to wonder what she’s thinking,
But now my heart beats faster and faster not knowing what she’s thinking,
And when she turns and looks at me she smiles and laughs,
So I now that no matter what my heart will always beat,
And so will hers,
Passion will pull us together or force us away from each other,
But love is always a heart beat away,
And happiness will bring two heart beats together,
After all life is created when a heart beats for another.
