Fallen
I was once a great story,
Until tragedy struck from nowhere,
A combination of effects forced me to my knees,
So that I could gravel God to help me stand up,
Stand up to where I used to be,
A changed man I am and a new view of the world,
A thousand feet to level one’s eyes,
A thousand feet back to the summit,
Where I can be greeted by God and an angel,
An angel to call my own and an angel to take me to the stars,
Stars that seem so distant from the ground,
Friends enjoy the warmth and grace of heaven,
As I stare at the stars of angels shooting across the sky,
And trying to piece back a fallen monument,
A monument that shows me to heaven,
And the fallen pain to reach heaven’s treasured angels.
