Dividing Line
Those that I’m leaving behind are those that will be missed the most,
I never saw this coming, I’m sorry for the pain it has caused,
I will miss you all, but there are those that I will miss more,
People who helped me through the tough times,
Those that could bring a smile to my day, even when the skies turned cold and black,
And those who’s eyes inspired me,
I will miss those the most, tears that will fall for those missed,
Those that help made the road a little smoother,
And those that warmed my heart, those that kept me alive when I hit the bottom,
Seasons changed but they never seemed to change who they were,
They are my good and dear friends,
And I will miss them, and they miss me
Bonds that are stretched to a thousand miles,
An ocean away, and a half a mile higher than me,
The tides could wash me away, and the winds could blow me far and wide,
At home we could take shelter, hiding in the valleys,
Where the mountains cut the winds, and the mountain protect us from the tides,
My dearest friends will be the ones that I miss, the ones that I will visit,
Home is where it all began, where it all start,
Where the first chapter was written, where memories where made,
My dividing line is my mind, and I will choose who will be truly left high and dry,
And who will see me again,
I will miss you all but I will miss some even more than others,
My line is my mind, and where I divide what has been decided.
