Coming Back
I said I would, I promised you all, but especially you,
Precautions and plans, ready should something go wrong, or should you need a savior,
I’m coming back one way or another,
I’d walk a million miles just to return home, home with you and all my friends,
I’ll return a stronger man, I’ll be better prepared when I return,
I should better understand what defines love and passion from friendship,
Bitten the bullet once too many, but for you I’d pay the price, and I’d bite it again,
I miss those cold winter days,
Those days hen hot chocolate and talking kept us warmer than the air,
Those days when we share stories but no truth was shared to the outside,
I thought I’d left to find something, but never did, because I already had,
I’ll return home, I promised you I would,
Because I already had found my objective, but sadly I was never quick enough,
Time had beaten me,
But still I returned home for a simple reason, and it was to keep the memories alive,
I know from wince they came they will from wine they started,
Remembering those days when a phone call could cause so much trouble,
When your smile could take away so much pain,
When it could do more than any medicine ever could,
Tears once greeted you, always by these words, it will be alright,
Tears that now fall with silence as they hit the unforgiving ground,
When your soft brown eyes milted my heart, and I died for a second,
My heart now can barely keep beating, it’s beat quickly dying,
I’m coming back as I said I would,
I miss you and I miss you all, like family I hope you all welcome me back,
I’d come back home to say good bye to you and everyone,
But I know I promised that I’d come back.
