Can’t Do It Alone
I can’t do this alone, and I know you can’t either,
Family is important, but so to are friends,
They make us who we are, and family is there to set the base line,
We make the choose of going above or below that line,
I have made it this far without the whole family, little support was shown we I needed it,
Now I am wanted, but I put the brakes on because I know I can survive,
I need to show my true colors in the north, were I belong, were I feel at home,
And I know your fighting the same thing,
Both are in need of just a little help,
Life has a plan for you and a plan for me, time knows that we both need each others help,
I will cover you back, like I had done before for you when the times where hard for you,
And I hope that you’ll cover my back, like you had before when I had fallen apart,
Both of us have a lot to think about, decision that will effect our whole life,
I’m trying to bleed colors to the black and white north,
Where there are winters as white as the paper that I draw on,
Bringing out the people that live, bringing their true form to the lights of the towns,
Using the colors that were created when the earth was born,
I use the words that echo across the forests, words that otherwise scatter,
Turning them into solid bell that spreads them out equally,
Allowing them to be heard by all,
Your determination will take you far, far into the field of sports and even farther,
Where the medicine can help keep someone in the game,
Make someone shine like never before, with out you, they couldn’t have done so well,
You make a difference in that final second, an idea was all it took,
An inspiration was all it took, that last touch that one line can make all the difference,
Art is a sport, and a sport is an art,
Give them space and give them time, then they will shine with the power of the sun,
At the beginning it will be hard, and at the end it never looked better,
So help me out so I can shine, and I’ll cover for you to give that last tip,
A tip you think could make the difference,
Alone we won’t last long, but together we will thrive, and strive to a better future.
