Calling For Home
Family flees to the south, to escape the cold weather of the north,
But raised in this weather, I refuse to leave,
My home is were I am, and so is she,
My friends and I refuse to leave what we call home, but with little family up north,
What do I call home, I know of one who would live with me,
I know her well, and we trust each other,
Stubbornness us both from moving, and motivation says we can survive,
Together we can make it, to defy the odds is our goal,
To prove others that we can make it,
So set the bar high, and we’ll set it even high for you,
I call for home, here in New England,
And I will do anything to get her here and to keep her here,
I’m calling for home, and without her I will surely never make it,
I call home with her and my friends,
To make home our own, we stick together to make it happen,
Calling for home, we found it and are bound to keep it.
