As The Sun Goes Down
The sun sets, and your eyes come alive,
Your heart beat beats even faster now that the sun has gone down,
I’m just barely alive, my eyes resembling the setting sun,
My heart beat grows weaker as my temperature drops,
My heart struggles to stay here, my world grows darker and colder,
Nightmares fog my vision, as my heart beats one last time,
My sky blue eyes burn to the color of night the fills your color filled eyes,
My soul rests in your hands, as my body turns stony cold,
But you scream, don’t leave me, you tell me I can leave, that you still need me,
Your eyes cry a pounding thunderstorm, you feel my life slip through your fingers,
And you cry yourself to sleep, still holding my cold hand,
But you wake up quickly when you feel the warmth return, and my pulse come alive,
You still cry, but tears of joy now fall,
You hug me and tell me never to leave, never to go away, never to turn cold again,
Words that make me cry and hug you back,
I never wanted to leave, I never should have left, I shall never leave you again,
I only need one person to stay alive for, only one other person to make happy,
I forgot, I left you and I shall never leave you in the cold dark night,
The sun has now set on this time,
And the sun will rise again to a new day, a new chance, and a new beginning with you,
As tomorrow I hold your hand as the sun goes down, to begin a new day for us tomorrow.
