My story
My memories,
My life, they all started here,
My journey started here, and my world was built upon those memories,
My friends made these memories, the good and bad,
But a new chapter begins for me, a short was made,
My story scratched across America,
From the north it started, and to the south my new chapter begins,
Home is where your story began, and to the north I will return,
My friends hold me dear and true, my family that I picked, and we picked together,
Our paths crossed in the past and I’m sure that they will in the future,
I’ll never forget them and I hope that they will never forget me,
My thousand mile journey begins in the mountains of the north,
And my journey ends in the south, where the rivers grow flat and wide,
From the river’s start in the mountain, to the river’s end at the sea, from high to flat,
The view grows, and so must we all, we all grow,
A lesson learned, is a lesson remembered,
If I have shown you anything so far let it be, life is ever turning,
New tides bring new things, and new things bring new stories, new adventures,
But let it be those stories and adventures, let yourself remember the past,
And it will carry you far,
You are but a grain of sand in a vast ocean,
If you can learn, and you can remember, then you can rise above the rest,
Let the currents and tides take you ever higher,
Others will join you to form a beach,
A beach that you can walk on for a thousand miles, or even longer,
Remember where you have been,
Remember who has been there and who has not,,
Remember where your journey started,
Let those memories grow, and you’ll always be ok,
You’ll find new friends for the future,
And catch up with the old ones that you had shared your past with,
My journey beings soon,
A thousand miles it is, and a thousand memories I have to remember.
